Iam looking at setting up a home network for 3desktop computers.
This will mainly be used for small size file and printer sharing purposes (not for the internet). Is wireless still a better option over wired for this circumstance???

It is all about reducing the radius of the signal. This can be done by reducing the signal strength, directing into an absorbing medium (moist ground), etc. Sure you see a lot of wireless networks when wardriving, we all do. You won’t see the ones that are properly designed until you are right on them. Of course, you should always configure security on you AP, but the best method is to use a layered approach.
foil is not gonna stop the hackers and war drivers necessarily how do i know this i war drive my self and just like your parabolic wireless router i have made a parabolic wifi usb and if you point it at the right spot of the house with the wireless network its easy to join there network i like a wired network it may be expensive but its safer if you know a way to stop ppl with wifi parabolic usb’s post a video
